Kihwan Sim, Bass-baritone was born
in Seoul in 1983.
He studied at the Yonsei university
and then at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg with
professor Geert Smits.
He parrticipated in several
international competitions and was awarded first prize in the
International Mirjam Helin singing competition in 2009.
Inspite of his young age he has
already performed on some professional opera stages; Leporello (Don
Giovanni) at Yonsei Theatre and Knua Hall, Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro)
at the Arts Hall of the Corean Broadcasting Company and Pallante in
Agrippina by Händel.
